Senhor Laerti is 80 years old and lived most of his life in this apartment with his mother. During his youth he was a jocky, riding on horses professionally in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. He has been director of the building he lives in for 12 years. Now he does nothing anymore. He is loosing his ability to speak, as he says, because he doesn`t practise anymore.
